The Director-General of the Office of Public-Private Partnerships leads a team of high-caliber professionals with vast public and private sector experience in finance, procurement, engineering & construction, legal analysis and project management.
Taking its cue from the Lagos State Administration’s 10-Point Development Agenda, the Office is at the vanguard of the State’s accelerated infrastructure roll out plan.
Critical infrastructure areas that support economic growth include the power sector, urban transport, roads, water and housing. Renewed emphasis has also been placed on social infrastructure to ensure the growth of sustainable human settlement supported by social amenities such as schools, hospitals, parks and shopping malls.
In keeping with the Administration’s vision, the Office of Public-Private Partnerships is organised around 2 broad infrastructure clusters - CORE and SOCIAL Infrastructure. Core (or economic) infrastructure include power, public transport, water resource development, roads, and agribusiness. Social infrastructure includes healthcare, education, social housing, amongst others. Investors are being encouraged to participate fully in both infrastructure areas.
The operations of the core and social infrastructure project teams are undergirded by administration, risk management, information technology, communications and project management professionals who ensure that the Office facilitates a rapid turn-around of queries and key documents required for the advancement of PPP projects, while offering qualitative customer service to its various clients.
